Kuganha has opened in the Western Cape, offering a wellness-focused safari experience within a 10 000 hectare Big Five conservancy less than 2.5 hours from Cape Town in the Tankwa Karoo.
The malaria-free property comprises 10 private tented suites, each measuring at least 320 square metres. Wellness facilities are incorporated into each suite and are available to guests around the clock.
In-suite facilities include a sauna, steam room, Himalayan salt oxygen halotherapy room, flotation deprivation pod, ice plunge bath, Jacuzzi plunge pool, double massage beds and massage facilities. Guests also receive an introductory wellness journey covering the use of the private facilities.
The culinary offering can be customised around individual guests’ needs with fresh, organic, sustainable and locally sourced produce used. Guests can dine in their suites or at Kuganha’s restaurant, which overlooks an infinity pool and waterhole with views of the Karoo landscapes.

Rewilded conservancy
The conservancy has undergone extensive rewilding, including the rehabilitation of areas of indigenous vegetation and the reintroduction of the Big Five and other wildlife to this part of the Western Cape.
