KZN hotel appoints new executive chef

GERALD van Staden has been appointed new executive chef for Southern Sun's InterContinental Beverly Hills Sun hotel in Umhlanga, KwaZulu Natal. Van Staden has won numerous awards and worked both locally and abroad in countries such as Singapore and Ireland. At the hotel's highly popular Cabin Restaurant, Van Staden is revitalising the menu and introducing the concept of 'Aero-International cuisine', where he will merge African food concepts with flavours from around the world. "I believe that our innovative concepts, high service levels and qualified team, will continue to make the Cabin a place where people want to meet and enjoy the best of International cuisine," concludes Van Staden.
