THOUSANDS of visitors, particularly members of the Zion Christian Church, descend on Limpopo province each Easter weekend, resulting in extremely busy roads and many accidents. This year, the Limpopo Tourism and Parks Board (LTPB), MTN and Sasol will be on the province’s roads to highlight road safety. The LTPB and MTN will be handing out gifts at toll gates on the N1 to Limpopo from April 8 to 11 to highlight the diversity of the province, as well as promoting safe driving on the highways, while Sasol will be running a safety campaign with a taxi patrol looking out for stranded vehicles. “This is the time thousands and thousands of the Zion Christian Church members are undertaking their bi-annual pilgrimage to the city of Moria. As these visitors are of the utmost importance to us and we are committed to their safe arrival and departure to and from our province, we have partnered with Sasol to make this Easter a safer one for all,” said acting ceo of the LTPB, Charles Maluleke.
