Magaliesburg property scoops business awards

THE newly-upgraded, 64-room Valley Lodge in Magaliesburg, took home no less than three awards in the 6th Sanlam Mogale City Business Achievers of the Year Awards held last week, including the top prize of Business of the Year. The lodge also won the overall award in Hospitality and Leisure Division as well as in the sub-category Restaurants and Hotels in the same division. Last year, Valley Lodge was a finalist in the Tourism and Leisure division and received a Presidential Merit Award. The awards, held at Misty Hills Country Hotel and Conference Centre on February 21, were organised and presented by the Krugersdorp Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Said a spokesperson for KCCI: "The sustained success of these awards bears testimony to the economic potential of the city and surrounds. An important role of the annual event is to lift profiles of those many enterprises that operate successfully." (Adéle Mackenzie)
