THE Mice (Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) Club has launched a new service to compliment and expand the scope of its well established and popular interactive search and select on-line venue database. To assist mainly international meeting planners/organisers, be they independents/associations or NGO's, Mice Club will, for any specific event, research selected venues. According to one of the co-ordinators of the Mice Club, Derek King, the service will provide comprehensive information on venues including appearance and facilities, both at the actual venue and in close proximity as well as services, capacities, menus, rates, staff, empowerment ratios, training commitment, commissions, discounts and more. King says Mice Club representatives, will if required, personally visit these venues to obtain the requested information. "Once obtained, all information is passed directly to the meeting planner/organiser, who will then negotiate directly with the venue of their choice."
