TOURISM KwaZulu Natal's information services manager, James Seymour, has described as "good news" an article published on Nationalgeographic.com regarding the province's famed sardine run. In the article by Leon Marshall, the author describes the annual event as one which is fast competing with other global tourist attractions such as the wildebeest migration across the Serengeti in east Africa. Marshall also mentioned the work being done by the Natal Sharks Board to track the progress of the shoals and TKZN's efforts to bring to the world's attention and event which has aptly been named "The Greatest Shoal on Earth."
