New exhibition association to host training day

The newly formed Association of African Exhibition Organisers will host an exhibitors training workshop on October 14.

The newly formed Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO) will host an exhibitors training workshop on October 14 at the Sapphire Room, Ticketpro Dome, North Riding, Johannesburg.

The workshop is free and is open to all exhibitors who are affiliated to an AAXO member or organiser and to exhibition organisers who would like to join the association.

The programme will include best practices, exhibitor guidelines, tips on how to maximise the power of exhibitions and information on how to measure exhibition success.

The association creates a platform to create greater benefits for organisers. AAXO offers legal and administrative support, negotiates with government on behalf of organisers and plays a mediation role for exhibitors if a dispute arises.

“Exhibition organisers that join AAXO will have access to a wide range of resources and support available to members, while gaining increased credibility and benefiting from a powerful voice that advocates on their behalf,” said Carol Weaving, MD of Thebe Reed Exhibitions.

AAXO consists of some of the largest and most successful exhibition organisers in Africa, including Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, MMI South Africa, Hypenica, Thebe Reed Exhibitions, Spintelligent, Terrapinn, The Wedding Group, Leaders in Trade Exhibitions, SA Confex Services, TE Trade Events, Exposure Marketing and Inspire Trade Exhibitions.
