KIMBERLEY Tourism has successfully launched a new ferry named after the famous Oppenheimer family racehorse, Chestnut. It says that the double decker ferry, located on the Vaal River at a resort called Riverton about 30km from Kimberley, can accommodate 80 passengers. A one-hour return trip between Riverton and Langley costs R20 for adults and R12 for children under 12, while a five-hour return trip from Riverton to Barkley West costs R50 and R25 respectively.
