New hotel in Limpopo royal area

DISCUSSIONS are underway between the Modjadji royal family and stakeholders to develop a hotel in Khetlhakong in Modjadjiskloof in Limpopo. Clement Modjadji, spokesperson for the royal family, was quoted by BuaNews as saying they are currently negotiating with local companies and the local government to raise funds to build the hotel. He could not, however, disclose details of the hotel as plans were still being negotiated. The hotel would provide a welcome accommodation option for tourists visiting Modjadjiskloof. The area is the home of the Rain Queen Modjadji and the royal palace is a popular tourist draw card for the area. In related news, R160 000 has been put aside for the development of a cultural village in Khetlhakong Village, to be called Modjadji’s Kraal. (Darren Sandras) darrens@nowmedia.co.za
