New Limpopo CEO ready to engage with industry

The newly elected Limpopo Tourism and Parks CEO, Robert Tooley, is encouraging the industry to engage with the organisation to further its tourism goals.
Tooley has operated in Limpopo’s provincial government over the years and played an active role in the province’s tourism and environment portfolio committees. This, he says, has prepared him for the challenge of heading up the provincial tourism board.

Tooley says he is familiar with Limpopo’s opportunities and assets, is aware of the province’s biodiversity and is ready for the challenges that this new position will offer.

One of the biggest challenges in his new charge, he says, is to engage on a new level with private-sector stakeholders to facilitate a better tourism climate for the province.

The province will look to marketing the destination as ideal for those international guests who visit during the South African winter months because of the Lowveld’s temperate climate.
