New lodge opens in Madikwe

THIS week sees the opening of an exclusive 16 bed private lodge within the Madikwe Game Reserve in the North West Province. Called Impodimo, which means 'gift from God', the camp is situated along a rocky ridge at the source of a natural spring. This elevated valley provides the passage of many species between the north and the south of the park and frequent visits from lion, buffalo and elephant occur within the camp. Each of the eight luxury suites has been carefully crafted to ensure privacy and uninterrupted views of the Madikwe. The lodge features all the comforts now synonymous with five star lodges including sala, library, showers in and out, climate control a/c's, fire places, and pool dining, star deck etc. The lodge is accessed via the new Wonderboom gate on the western boundary of the park. Impodimo is a member of An African Anthology. (Miguel de Sousa)
