TANZANIAN operator Authentic Tanzania will in June launch two new products in the country’s southern region. The first is a luxury mobile camp in Selous Game Reserve. The camp will cater for a maximum of four and minimum of two guests. The large walk-in tents will have single or double beds, tables, chairs and en suite toilet and shower facilities. Activities will focus on walking safaris, which will be complimented by game drives in an open-sided 4x4 vehicle. The second product is a set departure southern circuit safari for the budget market. Two set departure itineraries from Dar es Salaam will offer a train ride through Selous Game Reserve, hiking in Udzungwa Mountains, game viewing in Mikumi National Park and Selous Game Reserve and the option of an extension to sail by dhow to the ruins of the island of Kilwa Kisiwani.
