O’Leleshwa Retreat, an exclusive-use villa property in Naivasha, Kenya, will officially open on November 1.
The retreat comprises three villas:
- O’Lorien Villa with three en-suite bedrooms
- O’Leleshwa Villa with four en-suite bedrooms
- O’Lerai Villa with two en-suite bedrooms
Facilities include a pool and pool bar, a TV in the pool area, board games, a pool table and traditional Kenyan/East African games. Guests will also have access to spa and golf facilities at Great Rift Valley Lodge.
The property, positioned to operate at a five-star level, aims to differentiate itself in the market by allowing guests to determine their own daily schedules and choose from varied dining venues and styles during their stay.
Activities on offer range from birding and walks to off-site boat trips, game drives, guided cycling and hiking in Hell’s Gate, Mount Longonot treks, flower farm tours, horse riding and Kasarani community tours guided by local residents.
The location was chosen for its views of Lake Naivasha and proximity to the Kasarani community.
Sales and marketing will be driven in partnership with Poised Solutions Sales Representation, targeting Kenya, South Africa, the UK, US, select European markets and the Middle East in the first phase. Future phases will focus on North America and niche segments such as wellness retreats, private celebrations and exclusive-use travel.
Sustainability measures include a full solar system, rainwater harvesting and an aquaponic grow house for vegetables and herbs. Community engagement has been a focus during construction with unskilled youth trained in building techniques and selected for further vocational training in hospitality and property maintenance. Local suppliers will also be used for goods, tours and transport.
