New Zim lodge opens doors despite crisis

IN the midst of Zimbabwe's current economic and political upheaval, Nigel and Maggie Kay of Harare have opened what they refer to as "one of the most beautiful guest houses in Southern Africa". Although York Lodge in Newlands is only five minutes away from the city centre, it is sited in one of Harare's oldest and most beautiful upmarket suburbs. The original house was built in 1919 and features five double en-suite bedrooms, each with satellite TV and telephone. (Mary Ann Parker)
