Nightjar Collection has taken over the management of hospitality operations at Leshiba Wilderness in Limpopo’s Soutpansberg mountains.
The agreement covers Leshiba’s four accommodation offerings: Venda Art Lodge, The Farmhouse at Leshiba, Hamasha and Luvhondo as well as the reserve’s overall guest experience.
“Leshiba is not simply another lodge destination – it is a place with soul, history and purpose. Our role is to carefully elevate the guest experience while preserving the authenticity, conservation ethos and cultural significance that make Leshiba so unique,” said Nightjar Collection Founders Graeme Edmond and James Robb.
Upgrades planned
Planned enhancements include upgrades to the luxury suites at Venda Art Lodge with private plunge pools or hot tubs. The lodge’s standard rooms will also be converted into Luxury Village Suites and a new boma experience will be introduced.
Nightjar also plans to expand the Venda cultural experience offered to guests and officially launch The Farmhouse at Leshiba to the broader tourism market.
Previously accessible only by invitation, The Farmhouse is a six-bedroom private villa for families and groups. Hamasha offers self-catering accommodation for hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers and other nature-based travellers. Luvhondo caters for groups, students, researchers and adventure travellers.
Nightjar also plans to establish a new welcome centre at the foot of the mountain range for guests without 4x4 vehicles.
