The Oranjezicht City Farm Market, relocating after 10 years at Granger Bay, is set to open at its new venue across the road in the V&A Waterfront on December 6.
Key dates for the transition are as follows:
- Final Wednesday night market at the current site: November 26
- Final Saturday and Sunday markets: November 29-30
- Market closure for the move: December 3
In a statement, the market team reflected on a decade at Granger Bay, acknowledging the support of traders, farmers, makers and visitors who helped establish the market as a key community hub. The new venue has been designed to retain the character of the original market while improving the experience for traders and visitors.
The market will reopen with the following trading hours:
- Saturdays: 08h00-14h00
- Sundays: 08h30-14h00
- Wednesday night market: 16h00-21h00
