A GROUP of Gauteng cyclists and five German cyclists prepared for this year’s Pick ‘n Pay Cape Argus Cycle Tour by cycling 1 800km from Sun City, North West, to the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. The marathon journey raised R150 000 for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). The team was made up of four Sun International staffers and five members of the BMW Cycling Club in Munich, all of whom except one member, cycle only for recreational and fitness purposes. The whole team went onto participate in the annual Pick ‘n Pay Cape Argus Cycle Tour two days after arriving in Cape Town. (Lucy Siebert)
