Promoting a single EAC

THE tourism boards of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania recently agreed on a joint strategy for marketing and promotion of the East African Community as a single tourism destination according to international news reports. The EAC Secretariat reportedly said the process will include the development of common branding and promotional materials, such as a common EAC Tourist Brochure. The first official meeting of the three tourism boards is to be held during the first quarter of 2006. (Dorine Berger)
