PROTEA Hotel Edward - part of the group's Premier Collection - is completing the finishing touches to a R5m refurbishment. General manager at the hotel, David Thompson, says refurbishments focused on the two restaurants, kitchen, hotel exterior as well as a major air-conditioning upgrade. The hotel, which dates back to 1911, now also features the Oppenheimer executive suite and the Presidential suite. (Adéle Mackenzie)
