Responsible tourism is key at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

AS part of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge’s ‘Conservation is Key’ motto, the lodge practices water and power conservation in their daily operations.

On a broader scale, VFSL has helped set up the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit (VFAPU), which operates within a 50km radius of the Lodge. VFAPU’s work reduces wildlife habitat destruction and species eradication.

A home-grown Management Development Programme has proven successful in training up young hoteliers to quality managers. The lodge’s management relationship with South Africa’s Three Cities Group enables staff to undertake valuable exchange courses, allowing exposure and experience at other Three Cities properties.

In addition, VFSL prioritises HIV/AIDS education by training peer educators and addressing these issues in departmental meetings.
