SOME 200 delegates from Avis operations through Europe, Africa and the Middle East gathered in South Africa this week for an Avis licencees conference being held at Sun City, North West province. This is the first time the annual event, which focuses on new products and services as well as strategies for exploiting global opportunities, is being held in South Africa. Avis SA chief executive, Grenville Wilson said the delegates would also be familiarising themselves with Southern Africa's tourist attractions as more than half of them had arranged to take pre-and post-tours.
