SA Tourism launches tactical campaign in Japan

SOUTH African Tourism has launched its ‘Picture Perfect’ tactical consumer campaign in Japan in conjunction with the Japan Travel Bureau (JTB), South African Airways and the Japan Professional Photography Association. The ‘Picture Perfect’ campaign, supported by Fuji Film, is said to the biggest and most visible promotional campaign ever launched by SA Tourism in the Japanese market. The campaign is aimed at showing the Japanese traveller that it is easy and affordable to visit South Africa by giving them the opportunity to discover a new way of enjoying a holiday and to write their own stories about SA in a dedicated photo book to be published in Japan. Says Ndiphiwe Ntuli, SA Tourism country manager in Japan: “The sheer range of scenic offerings and leisure activities available in South Africa make it one of the world’s best ‘Picture Perfect’ destinations. We want to make it easy and affordable for everyone to come and feast on the visual excitement of this destination. “The world is waking up to South Africa and Japan is no exception,” said Akihiko Hosaka, sales manager with JTB, reportedly the largest wholesaler in Japan. “People everywhere are starting to realise that not to do South Africa, is to deny yourself an experience that will enrich you and that you will cherish forever.” (Natalia Thomson)
