SA Tourism manager in France quits

SOUTH African Tourism in-country manager in France, Khanyi Nhlomo, has resigned. Dhlomo, will be taking a long-planned break to focus on her studies, and will be studying full-time for an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) at Harvard Business School in the United States from August this year. SA Tourism ceo, Moeketsi Mosola, thanked Dhlomo for her “meaningful contribution towards boosting European arrival figures”. Said Mosola: “Khanyi has made a significant impact during her tenure at South African Tourism and we wish her well in her future endeavours.” Dhlomo’s resignation, which becomes effective from the end of June, comes as 2004 inbound tourism arrivals from that country experienced a 14,5% dip. In 2003, at least 127 760 total French tourist arrivals were recorded, as opposed to the 109 276 recorded in 2004. (Natalia Thomson)
