SAA and Malaysia Airlines yesterday (March 29) signed a codeshare agreement which, from June 1, enables the issuing of tickets on flights operated by Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur under the SAA code. This is subject to obtaining government and regulatory approvals. These being obtained, Malaysia Airlines’ clients will have access via the airline’s three direct weekly flights to Johannesburg, to other South African destinations, including Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London. They will also have access to Victoria Falls and Harare in Zimbabwe, Maputo in Mozambique, Maseru in Lesotho, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Windhoek in Namibia and Gaborone in Botswana.
