SAA suspends CFO and ex-CEO

SAA suspends two senior officials

South African Airways has suspended two of its senior executives following unspecified allegations made against them in a forensic probe of the national airline.

CFO, Phumeza Nhantsi, and ex-CEO, Musa Zwane, have been placed on leave pending a disciplinary hearing, SAA spokesperson Tlali Tlali said today.

The suspension comes in the wake of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s pledge to clean up State-owned entities that have been submerged in allegations of mismanagement and corruption.

The airline declined further comment while the probe is ongoing.
