THE Department of Public Enterprises has confirmed that it is in talks with the Tanzanian government about SAA’s “disengagement” from Air Tanzania. The department said: “The process of negotiation of a share sale is soon to commence”. SAA, which holds a 49% shareholding in Air Tanzania, confirmed the talks were taking place but said it “would be inappropriate to speculate on the outcome of the process” at this time.
