CONSTRUCTION of the Dwyka tented luxury lodge and Gondwana family lodge at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is underway and expected to be complete by December.
Dwyka tented lodge is being built in a horseshoe bend on the dry Karoo ravine. The main lodge will offer luxury dining and lounge facilities with fireplace settings, an open-air dining boma, a temperature controlled wine cellar and two spa treatment rooms.
The lodge will comprise nine luxury tents, each featuring a freestanding bath, indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioner, under floor heating, mini bar and private heated plunge pool with open deck.
Gondwana family lodge overlooks the Bellair Dam and will feature 12 inter-leading luxury suites with views of the Klein Karoo escarpment and the Anysberg Mountains. The lodge is family-orientated and welcomes children of all ages with its ‘Kids on Safari’ programme.
Meanwhile, it’s flowering season at Sanbona. The blooms last only for a few weeks from mid-August to September.
