THE Tourism Grading Council has awarded the Sandton Convention Centre a five-star grading. The announcement comes a few days after the Technical Production Services of South Africa (TPSA) awarded the centre with a TPSA Live Event Award for 'Favourite Technical Venue'. The star grading scheme for the Meetings, Exhibitions, Special Events (MESE) sector is a world first for the South African tourism industry, making Sandton Convention Centre the only venue in the world to carry the endorsement.
