SA TOURISM has appointed Fiona Buchner as Portfolio Manager for Europe.
Buchner will take up this position from the beginning of next year. She is replacing Roshene Singh, who was promoted to chief marketing officer.
Her new responsibilities include compiling strategies for the four key European markets (Germany, France, Italy and The Netherlands), as well as Sweden and Switzerland, to increase arrivals from those markets.
Buchner joined SAT in 2004 and has been working as e-business manager where she had to develop strategies and plans for the Internet, extranet, micro and specialist websites to expand online interest in South Africa.
