SAT hosts Dutch delegates

FIFTEEN captains of the Dutch travel industry arrived in Johannesburg yesterday, and are set to participate in the five-day SA Challenge to equip them with knowledge of South African destinations and familiarise them with the latest trends and developments in Dutch tourism to South Africa.

Topics of discussion during the SA Challenge will include air traffic, airports, the 2010 World Cup and the future of Dutch tourism in South Africa.

“We are honoured to welcome this extremely important and influential group of industry associates to our destination. Having built relationships with their organisations in the Dutch market, we are keen to update the group on the latest developments in the South African travel industry in order to help them to continue to sell our destination effectively,” comments Moeketsi Mosola, ceo of South African Tourism.

The SA Challenge is taking place in Johannesburg and Cape Town and will end with an in-depth review of key market insights before participants return to The Netherlands on August 18.
