BBC has released the trailer for Kingdom – a new wildlife series filmed over five years in South Luangwa’s Nsefu Sector in Zambia.
Narrated by David Attenborough, Kingdom follows four apex predator families: leopards, lions, hyenas and wild dogs. Much of the filming took place around Robin Pope Safaris’ Nsefu Camp, Tena Tena and Luangwa Bush Camping. The operator hosted the crew throughout the project, working closely with filmmakers Will and Lianne Steenkamp and the Zambian Carnivore Programme.
The series features well-known individuals from the area, including the late Olimba, alongside Tenta’s Hyena Clan, Rita’s Lion Pride and Storm’s Wild Dog Pack.
Kingdom premiered on BBC One on November 9 and is available on BBC iPlayer.
To mark the launch, Robin Pope Safaris has introduced the Nsefu Kingdom Safari, an exclusive six-guest departure on August 23, 2026, visiting the locations featured in the series and guided by Keyala “Kiki” Phiri.
