SOUTHERN Sun Hotels has announced that it will not be pursuing a ten-year management contract for Claridges Hotel in Cape Town. The group announced in November 2003 that it had been offered a ten-year management contract for the hotel, subject to further negotiation and finalisation of the transaction. However, Southern Sun Hotels is no longer associated with the project and will have no business links with the Claridges Hotel and Phelan Holdings Limited. (Lucy Siebert)
