THE Friday opening to the public of Afrisun's temporary Sugar Mill Casino near Durban saw just over 13 700 cars (with an average of 2,2 visitors per car) and 2 107 pedestrians over the weekend.
Afrisun's public relations manager, Kagiso Ntanga says the novelty factor of it being the city's first casino greatly contributed to the numbers.
"We expect the figures to stabilise over the next few months," she says.
