Suspects caught sleeping in stolen linen

LIMPOPO police have cracked open a syndicate that has been breaking into lodges in the Tzaneen area over the past few months. They arrested eight suspects, including two women at their homes on Thursday morning last week and recovered linen, TVs, video machines and microwave ovens believed to have been stolen from the lodges. "We had to wake up several suspects and remove the stolen linen from their beds," said Mopani police spokesman, Captain Moatshe Ngoepe. The suspects are aged between 18 and 30 and most still live at home, prompting Ngoepe to warn parents not to protect their children if they're criminals. "If you know that your son or daughter has only one blanket and the next moment you see their bed has a new duvet, you have to question them, especially if they're unemployed," he said.
