TGC introduces new feedback tool

THE Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGC) has launched a postcard-style consumer survey which will allow people to report on their experiences at graded establishments. The TGC has already put feedback mechanisms in place, however information from consumers has not been forthcoming. The new Consumer Feedback Mechanism (CFM) is a ‘postage paid’ postcard featuring a simple questionnaire that only takes a few minutes to complete. It will be distributed to all graded establishments in South Africa and will be visibly displayed in other high tourist traffic areas such as tourism information bureaus and airports. “Information received from CFMs is vital to monitor service levels and intelligently inform the re-grading process that takes place every 12 months,” said TGC’s executive director, Dr Salifou Siddo.
