THE Western Cape is being encouraged to develop packages specifically for Tourism Month, September. This in a bid to introduce visitors to the cultural side of the province’s tourism offering, “rejuvenate their soul at local retreats, spas and wellness centres, or invigorate their bodies with wonderful outdoor activities”. Said Cape Town Routes Unlimited ceo, Noki Dube: “Tourism month marks an opportunity to showcase tourism offerings which rejuvenate the mind, body and soul, and to examine what we can do to constantly improve on the quality of our welcome to ensure that we offer a truly world-class experience.” At a provincial level, Cape Town Routes Unlimited intends to drive promotional, marketing and communications campaigns around Tourism Month to encourage South Africans to travel in their own region.
