Walker opens Africa Beckons

A NEW Durban-based tour operator has set itself the task of ensuring upliftment in the community and environment by only making use of suppliers that have tangible projects within the environmental, social and ecological fields. Africa Beckons is combining its skills in providing travel-related services to guests with its “firm commitment” to better the environment and encourage other travel-related service providers to do the same, says owner, Hilton Walker, who has worked in the tourism industry for over 13 year and is active within Satsa. "I believe that Africa Beckons will soon be recognised as a leader within our field of expertise in the travel arena of wholesale tour operators,” says Walker. “Although we want to get as much support as possible from all the players within the industry, we want to ensure that the development and implementation of the upliftment and development aims of our government, occurs on a grassroots and sustainable basis.
