BELLVILLE-BASED Holiday Wheels and Holiday House have closed down following the sudden death of sole proprietor Rui Machado. Rui, 35, died of an aneurysm on September 27 and his company Global Rent PTY trading as Holiday Wheels (car rental) and Holiday House (accommodation) stopped trading in mid-October. Cape Town attorneys Honey & Partners have been appointed as the executors of the estate and are currently managing the affairs of the company. Attorney Carianne Freebury says the company's handful of staff all left of their own accord. (Hilka Birns)
