SOUTH African news reports last night claimed one British woman had died and at least three German hikers were trapped in the wake of uncontrollable fires on Table Mountain in Cape Town. Strong winds are said to be hampering firefighters' efforts to bring the fires under control. The fires are raging from Kloof Nek towards Lions Head and the mountains at Green Point, says SABC news. Fires have also reached Ocean View and Table View. (Dorine Berger and Natalia Thomson) natalia@nowmedia.co.za
