ZIMBABWE's Sun Group has launched an early Christmas marketing campaign with discounts at all its major hotels and lodges in an attempt to fill beds for the approaching holiday season. Zimbabwe Sun marketing administrator Patricia Mbofana confirmed substantial rebates at the group's Kingdom and Victoria Falls hotels, as well as at the Hwnage Safari Lodge, Carribea Bay Sun, Lake View Hotel and Great Zimbabwe. The marketing campaign has already netted a large French delegation over the solar eclipse in early December, Mbofana said, with rising interest from local African tourists as well. "We currently have a 50% occupancy rate, but hope to boost this substantially over the Christmas season.". (African Eye News Service))
