The Greatest Wildlife Photographer – Kenya competition, which spotlights striking images of Kenya’s biodiversity while raising funds for conservation organisations, has announced the winners of its 2025 edition.

Pie Aerts was named The Greatest Wildlife Photographer – Kenya 2025 for his June finalist submission titled “The Long Wait”.
Raj Desai sits at second place with his July finalist submission, “Lighting and Grace”, shot at Lake Nakuru National Park.
Coming in third place is Janis Hurley with her March finalist submission, “Arboreal Leopard”, also shot at Lake Nakuru National Park.
The competition also presented awards for animal behaviour and birdlife.
Hennie van Heerden’s October finalist submission, “Monarchs of the Mara”, won the award for animal behaviour.
“Awakening” by Laszlo Potozky, also an October finalist, was crowned the birdlife winner.
