Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort has finalised an extensive refurbishment of several key areas of the property.
Notable improvements include refreshed exteriors for the Beach Villas and Beach Pool Villas and a full renovation of the two-bedroom villas, including the introduction of new contemporary furnishings. The villas, along with public areas, the gym and Anantara Spa, have also been repainted, creating a lighter and more modern aesthetic throughout the resort.
Spice Spoons, the resort’s signature cooking school, has also received a full upgrade. The new setup offers guests an even more immersive and inspiring culinary journey into Mozambican flavours and traditions, led by the resort’s chefs.
For families travelling with children, the Kids’ Club has a refreshing new look to welcome young adventurers. Additionally, a brand-new games room has been introduced, offering recreational activities for older children and teens.

In addition to these completed upgrades, further enhancements are underway. These include a new welcome lounge in Vilanculos, an upgraded guest arrival area at the resort, and full revamps of the Golfinho Restaurant and Clube Naval.
“These refurbishments underscore our continued investment in delivering unforgettable island getaways,” said Nico Vivier, Minor Hotels Regional Director of Operations & Development in Africa. “We are proud to offer an enhanced guest experience while remaining true to the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Bazaruto.”
Located within the Bazaruto Archipelago National Park, Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort offers a host of activities from ocean safaris and dhow cruises to spa treatments and immersive cultural experiences.
