Kapama Private Game Reserve has unveiled a redesigned boma at its River Lodge, completing the latest phase of updates at the property.
The new outdoor dining space features two central fire pits, open-flame grills and a layout designed to reflect the natural textures of the surrounding lowveld.
Executive Chef Makhi Maki leads the culinary team and continues to focus on open-fire cooking with dishes inspired by local ingredients and techniques.
“We didn’t just want to create a dining venue,” says Kapama River Lodge Manager Mandy Clouston. “We wanted to create a memory – something rooted in tradition but elevated in execution. It’s fire, food and storytelling under the stars.”
